Description

Keros Therapeutics is a public, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel treatments for patients suffering from hematological and musculoskeletal disorders with high unmet medical need. We are a leader in understanding the role of the transforming growth factor-beta, or TGF-ß, family of proteins, which are master regulators of red blood cell and platelet production as well as of the growth, repair and maintenance of muscle and bone. We have leveraged this understanding and developed a discovery approach to generate large and small molecules to address diseases of these tissues. Targeting TGF-ß signaling pathways has been clinically proven to elicit robust changes in blood cells, muscle, and bone, which we believe provides a precedent and strong rationale for our strategy.  As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced investor relations/corporate communications professional to join our team and serve as a senior finance leader in the organization.

The Senior Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications will report to the CFO and lead Keros’ investor relations and external communications activities. This position will partner with the CFO to lead the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive investor relations and corporate communications strategy and manage relationships with the investment and media community. This individual will also work closely and collaborate with the Executive Team to ensure our external communications are aligned with our corporate goals and strategic operating plans.

Specific Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Partner with the CFO and CEO to develop a comprehensive investor relations and media communications strategy.
  • Develop relationships and maintain regular communication with individual investors and sell-side analysts to provide up to date information about events and market trends affecting the company, with the goal of communicating our long-term vision. Create and manage a targeting strategy for prospective new investors.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define our external investment thesis and ensure alignment of that external messaging with internal operating plans and corporate goals. Develop and evolve the communication strategy to align with changes to the business.
  • Lead development of corporate communications documents, including press releases, corporate investor decks, earnings releases, earnings call decks, conference call scripts, and business overviews/other information for SEC filings, the annual report, and the company website.
  • Manage the company’s quarterly earnings calls, investment conference calls, analyst days, and non-deal roadshows.
  • Plan and execute all aspects of an R&D Day highlighting Keros’ innovative pipeline and discovery platform.
  • Work with the VP of Legal to ensure communications are in compliance with SEC regulations and Regulation FD.
  • Manage Keros’ external website.
  • Track Wall Street analysts' models, estimates, and pipeline expectations and work with the Senior Director of FP&A to analyze the difference between internal versus external projections.
  • Prepare investor updates for Executive Team and Board of Directors presentations, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a related discipline.
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, with direct experience leading Investor Relations at a public biotech company.
  • Established relationships and credibility with the investment community.
  • Ability to navigate between high-level thinking defining our IR strategy and tactical execution of day-to-day IR activities.
  • Uncompromising ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and the highest level of discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of SEC and disclosure requirements.
  • Experience in managing and overseeing contract IR/PR agencies and vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
